Meet the professionals helping so many resolve their tax issues
Having served the Capital District since 2001, our firm has grown to three locations serving over 5,000 households in the greater Capital District, Saratoga County, and more.
As an independent company, the owners are accessible and willing to work with people to resolve their tax issues. Our friendly offices are free from the limitations of a large and impersonal corporation.
Our staff is highly trained and qualified. Unlike offices that set up shop with no experience, we have gone above and beyond. All of our tax specialists are IRS Registered Tax Return Preparers or Enrolled Agents, passing their exams one year ahead of schedule!
MEET THE TEAM
Thomas & Paulette Kubiak
President, Office Manager, and Co-Owners
Neighbors growing up in Rochester, NY, Tom and Paulette have been partners in business and marriage for more than 20 years. Tom graduated from SUNY Empire State College in 1994 with an accounting degree. “I like numbers,” he says. But he likes helping people, too.
The Kubiaks each dedicate more than 800 hours a year doing volunteer work for their congregation, of which Tom is an elder. He also serves on the board of directors of a charitable foundation that grants money to local volunteer fire departments and ambulance companies to purchase emergency medical equipment.
Phoebe Bandi
Receptionist
Phoebe is in her ninth tax season at the Owlview office and has studied to prepare tax returns. She said she has “a great boss and workmates” and that what appeals to her most about “getting to know the clients is their different personalities and circumstances.”
She and her husband of more than 20 years were living in Quebec when, following three years of paperwork, they came to the States to take care of Phoebe’s aging parents. The Bandis have one son and enjoy volunteering and outdoor sports as a family. They have volunteered at dozens of building projects around New York State.
Paula Dietzsch
Receptionist
Paula works several days a week at the Castleton office during tax season, manning the front desk, scheduling appointments, and performing clerical duties.
Paula and her husband, Robert, enjoy bike riding and cooking. “I do the cooking, he does the eating,” she said.
She has a two-year college degree. In recent years Paula became an avid student of Mandarin, the language of mainland China. She spends about a quarter of her time as a volunteer minister helping Chinese-speaking people understand the Bible’s message.
